The Sawtooth Salmon Festival was held August 25, 2012 in Stanley, Idaho. There were several tours to the Salmon River to see wild and hatchery Sockeye and Chinook salmon that had traveled over 900 miles from the Pacific Ocean to spawn at elevation levels above 6000 feet.
